Dearest Nige, We knew you for almost 50 years, our mate, so kind, so thoughtful, so generous, never mean, never shabby. School, Groton, Brasenose, apple orchards, and more. There was never, ever, the hint of disagreement, just fun, friendship, and great, great, love. Remember 6 March 1983, Van Morrison at the Gaumont Theatre, Ipswich. A set list of 25 songs, 2 encores, Tupelo Honey, and Rave on, John Donne. I swear, he never played a better gig. We danced in the Theatre, and hugged in the street. We were no longer of this world. Such joy, such happiness. And then, Gene Clark, Jesse Ed Davis, Little Feat, and then.............. Rave on, Mr Evans, Rave On. With all our love, and thanks, for making our lives so much the richer.
